30 day Facebook restriction for posting wildfire info

We recently posted a screenshot depicting current wildfires all across the Western us. Facebook must not have liked it because they put us on a 30-day restriction claiming that we violated their community policies on spam. Huh?

Such BS, hope you appealed and showed them the error of their fact-checkers.

I shared the info to my small circle of friends. We agree that the banning of Public Safety Information on social media is just plain wrong. I had posted a similar map of NM and AZ fires and it was allowed, along with notification of local road closures.

@gbraathen they don't like us very much. We used to reach around 100,000 people every month on Facebook. Now we're lucky if we reach 10,000 people.

In the last year, Facebook has become useless for spreading important information.

Thank you for sharing. We rely on our readers and email subscribers.
